The inaugural 2025 Women's College All-Star Combine took place this past April in Tampa Bay, marking a significant milestone in women's basketball. This landmark event, produced by Intersport and sponsored by Lilly, provided elite college seniors with the same professional-grade athletic assessment that has long been available to their male counterparts.
Creating Pathways to the WNBA
For the first time, top women's college basketball seniors experienced the comprehensive athletic testing that men have had access to since their AAU playing days. The combine served as a crucial pathway to the WNBA, offering these athletes standardized performance metrics and exposure to professional scouts and teams.
The event was televised on ESPN 2, allowing fans, scouts, and WNBA team representatives to witness these exceptional athletes showcase their abilities through BAM Testing's professional-grade assessment protocols.

WNBA Stars Show Support
The combine received a tremendous boost from WNBA stars Monique Billings and Angel McCoughtry, who made special appearances to mentor and inspire participants. Billings conducted a televised BAM Testing demonstration, while McCoughtry cheered on the young athletes.
"Having these WNBA stars present at our inaugural event gave these college athletes an invaluable opportunity to learn directly from established professionals," said the event director. "Their participation emphasized the importance of this combine as a legitimate pathway to professional basketball."

Closing the Gap in Athletic Assessment
While male basketball players at elite levels have benefited from standardized athletic testing for years, this opportunity has been notably absent for women athletes. The 2025 Women's College All-Star Combine represents a significant step toward equalizing opportunities in basketball.
"These top women's college basketball players heading to the WNBA had never experienced athletic testing. By contrast, the top men players we work with have had access to this process since their AAU playing days. This event was long overdue, and we're proud to help bridge this gap," said a BAM Testing representative.
Professional-Grade Evaluation
BAM Testing deployed its comprehensive athletic assessment system at the combine, including:
Standardized testing protocols ensuring reliable, unbiased results
Vertical jump assessments and power measurements
Sprint and agility testing using laser gate technology
Detailed anthropometric measurements
Comprehensive BAMScore™ profiles and Improvement Gap analysis
Looking Forward
The success of this inaugural event has inspired BAM Testing to develop "The Shift" - a new program dedicated to empowering female athletes through data-driven assessments and creating pathways to sports industry careers.
BAM Testing was deeply inspired by the dedication, talent, and professionalism of the young women who participated in this groundbreaking event. Their enthusiasm and performance highlighted the critical importance of providing equal assessment opportunities across genders in sports.
